Green Floral Bean
I am sorry it's taken me so long to post this outfit!!! I have been traveling some and so I typically don't blog when I'm traveling. Anyway! This outfit it one of my favorite fall looks and I've worn it several times!!! I got these pants from Gap a few years ago actually and I love them! They go with so many different things and despite having a distinct floral, are year-round. If you feel like doing some digging, you can definitely find this exact pair used on Poshmark, but I've also linked another good fall floral pant option here.
Oxfords.....when I first got these from Madewell I loved them and wanted to wear them all the time, but I was struggling to figure out how to wear them. A lot of my pants are cropped and so I was like no....that looks stupid. It has to be more of a boot-cut pant or it won't work. Well, I'm happy to say that I feel like I have figured out what works for me! Wearing oxfords with cropped pants is possible and looks really cute if you wear a cute sock with them (mine are J.Crew; they have the best socks) and bunch it up so it looks kind of messy and like you just threw them on. The shoes say, "I'm running the show."....and then with the socks the combo says, "And I'm doing it with style!" So that's my tip for oxfords. You can still absolutely wear them with a little flare pant or boot-cut, I still do that and feel good about it, but here's another option! I've linked some cute oxfords here and here.
My sweater is goodwill gold!!!! Cashmere with a loose turtleneck, I found it a couple years ago and wear it ALL the time in the fall and winter. I like the bagginess of it. Not everything has to be super fitted guys!
Peacoat, peacoat. Let me tell you guys...colored coats have never been more in!!!! I got this from a boutique called Juniper on Purdue's campus and I feel like it's a staple piece of mine, no doubt. I've linked some other great coat options here and here.
Finally...my bag. It's the Signet Bag from J.Crew. I am in love with it!!!!! Greg got it for me for my birthday and it's the perfect size. I am, and probably always will be, a small purse person. And this fits everything I need! I was a bit surprised at how the monogramming was on it. I chose the get the middle monogrammed and the extra bag tag I ordered because my other J.Crew monogrammed bag has really small letters so I figured this would be the same. You can see the letters are not what I would call small, so it's a little much maybe? I don't know I still love it. I would HIGHLY recommend this bag. It's only $128 regularly but is also on sale all the time. It comes in all kinds of fall colors!!!
