Sea Foam Green Date Night
So you may be able to tell by now, but I pretty much love anything with a high-waist. When high-waisted shorts came back a few summers ago, I snatched me this pair from American Apparel. And it's so weird because I wore them a bunch the first summer I got them, and then I didn't wear them at all last summer....and then now I'm back to wearing them a bunch! Lol so I don't know. My mood is always changing and therefore my look I'm going for is always changing. I wore this look last week for date night at a new restaurant in downtown Lafayette called East End Grill.
I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures of the inside of the restaurant, I should've but I was kind of wrapped up in just enjoying being out. Anyway, our experience at East End was awesome! Finally, a new trendy place on Main St! They have a variety of options for salads and entrees without being overwhelming. I got the flank steak and risotto and Greg got their Cobb salad. I know, you would think the order would be the other way around. The waiters always go to give me the salad every single time. Haha But our food was awesome!! The ambiance of the restaurant was great too, nice decor and very trendy, like I mentioned. Some of the yelp reviewers complained about the noise being too loud inside, but I liked the buzz of energy. It was similar to going to a large open room brewery or something you know...just like filled with talking and laughter. But even with the noise, it wasn't like Greg and I had a hard time hearing each other, it wasn't that loud. The owner came over and introduced himself and asked us what we thought and he actually like stayed to talk to us for a minute. It wasn't like he was just going through the motions, he seemed very genuine and I thought that was great. Our cocktails were good too, a bit pricey, but we expected that. Anyway, the overall experience at east End Grill was great and we will definitely be back.

After we finished our dinner we walked down a couple blocks to Cellar 422. It's a little wine bar on Main St in Lafayette as well. It is SO CUTE!!!! I think it's been open for almost a year now and I can't believe I've never been. It's small and personal, quaint and trendy, and screams Instagram haven. I actually did manage to take some pictures of the AWESOME little back patio they have. I can already tell you that this place is about to be Greg and I's new favorite evening spot! One of the owner's was there and she helped us select a wine. She even gave us a discount because we said we wanted to keep it under $30. We love wine, but we aren't fancy wine people. Let's be real, if I spend $12 on a bottle at Meijer, I'm like...living large. Lol So I was glad that this place had some cheaper options. You can get a bottle there for around $15 if you want, which is awesome! They have nicer, more expensive bottle too, but we just aren't there yet! :) But really, how awesome is this patio?!?!
