Fair Isle Fancy Free

So I have a thing for fair isle sweaters. Most of you have probably noticed that by now just from my Instagram. No one does fair isle better than J.Crew. I hate to be so biased towards J.Crew but I mean....they do it right. I have this sweater in both colors that's how much I love it. (You will see the other color in a later post!)

I've mentioned this before on here, but I think the easiest way to have a "put-together" cold-weather look is to layer a sweater over a button-down. It's so easy and simple and will make you look polished without you really having to do anything. That's what I did here with this sweater. I put a yellow Ralph Lauren oxford underneath. (RL oxfords are some of my favorite because they don't have pockets on the chest at all.) And then I threw on a vest, with some garment dyed twill pants. Vest and pants (and socks) are all J.Crew. Several years ago J.Crew went through several seasons where they were making all kinds of colorful pants. And in case you are new to my blog...you should know that colored pants are my game. Like, I just counted last night....I have 5 different pairs of green pants. Ha! All different shades of green and I love them all. Anyway, I rarely wear denim....I just prefer colored pants. So back on point...J.Crew just came out with a couple pairs of the lookout high-rise pants in color and they are amazing!! You can find them here. 

Vests are a good go-to to throw on in the colder months because it's a nice way to stay warm and stylish without having to worry about a coat....and they accent your outfit instead of covering it up. My vest can be found here. And they run big, so order a size down from what you usually wear. My vest is an XS. 

My shades are so fun!!! They are also J.Crew. Side note....I am sorry that so much is J.Crew!!!!! I'm trying to incorporate more diversity into my posts....but my natural style is pretty J.Crew...let alone working there, I just have it and love it so it's on the blog a lot. But usually it's not all J.Crew everything, so sorry about that on this one. Anyway, I won a contest at work and got a free item, so I selected these sunnies. 

I put my usual funky sock/chucks spin on this look and hopefully it adds a little spice and originality. Enjoy guys!! Comment below!!!
