Business Sporty
Screw business casual man. I'm all about business sporty. I've dubbed this look business sporty because you can get the work done, look professional, be comfy, and show your personality all at the same time. When I was first putting this look together, I was not expecting the blazer with this gingham shirt to look so casual...but I liked it! With the shirt left untucked it does give off a casual vibe. That's where the chucks came in. I wanted to transform the casual to sporty and the chucks did just that. The blazer still adds the business look.
Business sporty is the modern girl's business casual.
This J.Crew blazer here is the shit. It goes with everything, is comfy, professional, and stylish all at the same time. Perfect for work or afterwork life. I got it last christmas and have worn it countless times. I am 5'11" so I ordered it in a 6 Tall, for any of you wondering. The sleeves are a bit long, even on me, so if you are shorter than me I wouldn't recommend a tall fit unless your arms are unusually long.
Accessories wise...the pocket square is actually Greg's, and was a last minute addition that I wasn't sure about, but I think it worked. We shot some with it and some without it. I think it's cute and unexpected and you guys now I love to throw on a good unexpected accessory. You can find my Indiana pendant necklace here from Silver in the City, a local Indy gift store. I wore my Fossil vintage muse tan leather watch for this look.
If it looks like I was dancing during this shoot, it's because I was! Haha Erika and I had the jams playing in the studio and I was feeling it. Music is like a necessity for studio shooting. So needless to say, we had some fun during this shoot...but really it's also a representation of how this outfit makes me feel...cool, fun, and full of energy!
