Kayla and Mitch, 2016 Wedding #6
So a funny thing happened the summer after I graduated high school...I started hanging out with a group of girls from another high school in the area. One of the girls who went to that school switched to my high school junior year, we became good friends, and then she introduced me to the rest of the girls. For whatever reason, that summer I kind of switched groups and the Central girls became my closest friends. I'm still friends with some of my old Reitz high school friends, but primarily when I go home I hang out with the girls that I became friends the summer after high school.
Anyway, there's a brief history. Kayla was one of those Central girls. I can honestly say that she is one of the sweetest, most genuine people that I have ever met. She is always smiling and sees the best in people. Even though I have been living away from Evansville for many years now, we have remained good friends and I am so glad that we have. I can't say enough positive things about the beautiful person that she is. I am so happy for her and Mitch. When they bought their house together a few years back, I went to their house-warming and I could just see how happy she was with him and their life they were making....that made me so happy. I had the same happiness wash over me when I was lucky enough to see how in love they still were at their wedding.
It was a country club in Evansville and was so nice!! The weather was predicted to be rainy, but by some miracle the rain held off and it was a beautiful ceremony out on the golf course. Then we moved inside to the reception area. The food was great! I ate so much. Like, I don't know why but Greg and I always eat too much at weddings. You would think I would learn, but no.
This wedding was great because I got see a bunch of my close friends that I never get to see!!! Including my LB as I call her. Kayla is her real name...she's one of my best friends. I want to do a friend feature on her at some point because she has mad style game and is one of the people who has been pushing to start a blog from day one. Anyway, my friends are pictured below. I don't really know how or why these girls accepted me into their already tightly formed group back in the day, but I'm so glad and grateful that they did!! In some ways, it's like they broke me out of my uptight high school shell...in a great way. They taught me to live a little!
As a side note, my good friend also Cleo came in town for the wedding, so I have a couple pictures of him and Greg and their weddings style. They are a couple of strapping young men, so I wanted to include them too. I appreciate good men's style just as much as I appreciate good women's style. One day I'll get Gregory to warm up to the idea of letting me shoot him for TCF.
Outfit deats!!! This skirt is from chicwish here and is the bomb dude. I love it. Similar statement necklace here. Louboutins can be found here. Crop top is from Express, but similar can be found here. Hello Kitty bandaids can be found at your local target. :)
