Mike and Natalie, 2016 Wedding #4
So Greg and I's Labor Day weekend was packed full of events! Two of which were weddings. The first wedding of the weekend was Greg's little brother Mike's wedding. Greg had the honor of being the best man which was really sweet. Mike and Natalie have been together for like 6 years I think...long before I was around.
The wedding took place in Fountain City, IN, which is Greg's hometown where his family still lives and farms. Fountain City......I mean, it is a very small town. I don't even get cell phone service at Greg's house and they don't have wifi. Pretty crazy right? Every time we go back to Fountain City, it's kind of like going to a different world. There are also a lot of Amish in that area too, so we see horse and buggies going down the highway and I'm always amazed. Haha It's the only place I have ever seen that sort of thing!
Outfit details!! My pink dress is from Francesca's and is pretty old, but here is a similar style. Statement necklace is J.Crew, similar found here. September 5th was Greg and I's first wedding anniversary, (way more on that later), and he got me the little teeny tiny Indiana necklace as part of my gift. It's so freaking cute and small I love it! I'm not really a huge fan of repping things loudly...like wearing a tee with a giant Indiana on it. That's just not really my style, but I love how understated the necklace is. It's from Silver in the City, which is a small boutique gifts store on Mass Ave. in Indy. They have a lot of cute unique gifts, so I definitely recommend checking them out if you are looking for a cool gift for a friend or significant other. I didn't feel like doing my hair so I just threw it in a sock bun. Always an easy solution. I think I mentioned it in an earlier post but I love these boots but I have no idea where they're from, so sorry guys. And then I paired them with my frilly American Apparel socks per usual. If you have any questions about the wedding or my look or anything just holla at me!
Back to the wedding details. The ceremony was at The Historic Meeting House at New Garden. It's a little old white church, and it is soooo cute! You'll see from the pictures below that they had the ceremony outside and brought pews out in the grass for people to sit on. They also had everything decorated so wonderfully rustic-chic. (I tried to capture better pictures of the scenery this time for you guys!) So that was the ceremony, then the reception was at Mike and Natalie's house. They redid the barn in their backyard and decorated it all inside and everything. You'll see, it was awesome!! They did such a great job. The was the first barn of the weekend...in true Indiana fashion.
Greg's family is so sweet and we are so happy to welcome Natalie to the family! Of course I love them all but Greg's grandmother Roma is probably one of my favorite people. She is so small and sweet and she always wears these amazing things!! Like cute little jackets and skirts. I don't know where she keeps pulling them from, but every time I love what she's wearing. She thinks I'm just flattering her but I'm not! I made her do a little photo shoot for me so I could document her outfit. She told me that her skirt was over 30 years old...I said, "Roma, that's just vintage!". My gosh, I just love her. Greg and I have decided that if we have a baby girl one day, Roma will be either her first name or middle name, because his grandmother Roma has had such a great impact on our lives.
