Fully Vested

Two winters ago I decided it was time I got into the vest game and this vest was the first one I purchased. I saw it in the J.Crew catalog and I had to have it. It was one of those pieces that you think about for days....like just waiting for it to get to you. Haha I get like that sometimes with clothes. 

I didn't even realize at the time how versatile it was. Even though this vest has a pretty distinct plaid pattern, it still seems to go with everything! Sometimes I even pair it with other patterns too. Or throw it over basically any color solid and suddenly the look is chic. Not to mention functional. And when I say functional I mean...the pockets are awesome for my trinkets (aka my phone) and it's warm without being hot. Vests are particularly awesome in the fall because they are a great way to stay warm and still look cute. I hope you guys enjoy my double stuffed plaid on plaid look in this post. It's one of my favorite combinations. 

For this look I left my button down halfway untucked for a spunky look, and then tucked it in and added a belt for a more polished look. It's amazing that just a tiny change like that can make a difference. See for yourself!
