Blanket Scarf Folding Tutorial and Top Picks
So first of all, I love blanket scarves. I think most of you probably know that by now. Second of all...I've received a lot of feedback from different people wanting to know how to wear one, so that's what this post is about: How to fold your blanket scarf. There are so many ways, but these three are the ones I use most commonly. I'll start with a video showing you them, and then further below are the pictures so you can get a better idea of how each one looks. For all of the folds, you start by folding your rectangular or square blanket scarf into a triangle...then watch the video for the rest!
This Asos scarf was originally featured on my TCF Hit List, and then I was finally able to order it in August. Last year, I feel like it was like the go-to scarf for a lot of bloggers, and therefore, it was always sold out....as is the case now. But! Some good places you can find blanket scarves are: Asos, Zara, and this new place I just recently learned about called ilymix. They have several really great (excellently priced) options. And if you go there, you can use the code Thecolorfloral to get 20% off your order!! Go check ilymix out!! Like I said, unfortunately, this exact scarf is sold out currently, but below are my top 5 in stock picks for scarves this season:
- Pick 1 (This one is extremely similar to the one I'm wearing)
- Pick 2 (I will be receiving this one soon!)
- Pick 3
- Pick 4 (Only $23!)
- Pick 5
The beauty of a blanket scarf is that they are so easy! You can virtually throw them on over any sweater or button down and then bam, you're chic and cute for fall or winter. You can wear them with a jacket if you want, or without a jacket. I like to wear turtlenecks with mine, but that's only one way of styling. You can wear them with a crewneck and jeans...or a dress and booties. They are so versatile and practical. Practical because they keep you warm!!! Which makes them perfect for outdoor fall activities like going to an orchard, pumpkin patch, or winery. These are just a few ideas!
Now that you have my blanket scarf picks and places to buy, check out the photos below to figure out which style is your favorite way to wear a blanket scarf! I hope you guys have enjoyed this post and you feel it is helpful! Let me know if you have any questions!
