Spruced Blazer Style

Spruced Blazer Style

I googled "blue spruce" just to make sure that's what these trees actually were before making this post! I'm sorry it's been a minute since I've posted!

Greg and I went to Evansville for Thanksgiving last Wednesday and while I had down time to blog, I really just wanted to enjoy being with my family and friends. While we were home, we ate so much!!! I'm scared to step on the scale because I know it won't be pretty. But oh well. We don't often overindulge the way we did last week. It was so good to see my nieces and nephews!! Also, we went to a wedding while we were home, which was great, and you can expect a full post on that later in the week!

Moving on to this awesome look!! I can't believe it's almost December dude. I thought this outfit would be the perfect opener for my posts leading into my take on this years holiday season style.

I'm so happy to incorporate another posting with my Steve Madden OTK boots!! I love these boots with the white jeans. It just pops! I love that there is no longer a stigma on wearing white after labor day. I never really cared about that rule. Wear what you want, when you want guys!!!! Anyway, now "winter white" is a huge thing and I love seeing other bloggers rocking it too. I got these pants from Banana Republic Factory for literally $12. And you know what? They're a size 10. Am I a size 10? No, I'm generally a size 6 in most things...but I tried on the 6 and they fit, but I thought they looked a little too tight, and there was no 8, so 10 it is was.

This brings me to a very important point. I think this is something to live by.......DO NOT fixate on the size of your clothing....it's SO much more about the fit. A lot of times men and women alike try to squeeze into a size that is too small because they want to get into that number. I too used to do this!! I wanted to keep saying I was a size 4. Well, guess what...the size 4 pants looked like shit on me and actually made me look so much bigger because they were too tight. When you wear clothing that is too small for you, you actually look bigger than if you buy something that really fits you! So please, screw the size on the tag, and buy something the size that you feel most comfortable in!

Getting back on point, are these pants too big around the waist? Yes, but for $12 I can make them work! What a steal they were! My blazer was an H&M purchase a few years ago. I just love the teal color, it's something you don't often see people wearing in a blazer. Combined with the other neutral tones of this look, it's just the pop of color I was hoping for.

Here are some links for other great colorful blazers that are great for holiday season as well!

My statement necklace is from J.Crew Factory, similar here. My earrings are from Rocksbox! These are definitely my favorite earrings I've received so far. I've mentioned Rocksbox on my Instagram and also in my last post, but for those of you who are unfamiliar...Rocksbox is a monthly jewelry subscription where you can get sets of 3 items as often as you like for a fixed monthly rate. You also have the option of purchasing the jewelry if you want to! So you go to their website, look through their jewelry and add things to your wishlist, and then your stylist will go through your wishlist and their overall inventory of jewelry and select items to send to you. Once you get your set of 3, you can keep them for 2 days or 2 weeks...however long you like!!! So in a month, you could potentially get 3-4 sets of jewelry. I think that's my favorite part about it, it's not just pay your fee, get a box a month...you get to choose how often you want new jewelry. I've teamed up with Rocksbox to give my readers a special deal....you can use the code thecolorfloralxoxo to get your first month FREE and try Rocksbox out! I highly suggest trying it.
